This afternoon I had the express privilege and honour this afternoon of baptising Kelly, a young woman that I have come to know and love as a grown-daughter!
Kelly and I met over 2 years ago when I started volunteering at The Dining Room where Kelly and her partner/carer regularly turn up for meals each week. When we started Vive Cafe — they came along and over the past two years we have grown closer to where Jen and I consider both of them like grown kids of ours!
So, I was thrilled when after seeing her partner get baptised after hanging with us for several months, Kelly asked if would baptise her! After a false start, we celebrated Kelly’s new life with a baptism this afternoon!
