I met with TC James Knaggs from the Salvation Army (Southern Division) on Monday to share about Holy Fools and the need for a presence on the Outer Eastern Suburbs that was more than a Church and not a Welfare organisation. During our pleasant meeting, Jim shared the vision that he has shared recently at a Commissioning Weekend for the Salvation Army Southern Division.
The vision is to plant around 50 new Corps (churches) in 2010. But, have a watch of this — TC Jim Knaggs talking at the Weekend.
On most occasions the planting of a new corps heralds the arrival of social services in the location.
What are other denominations or movements doing in Australia? Are you aware of any other plans such as this? Share them with me!
