Results of the Red Pill Survey

by Neal on November 18, 2009

redpillSorry for the delay in getting this information out. The data compiled can be read many ways, so in the interests of brevity I will be posting now the base results of each question. Later, I plan to analyse the data further to say something like, “A Female Southern Baptist planting a new church has some anxiety compared with…” You get the idea.

Now for the results…

Many folk, including myself, are leaving the mainstream churches and denominations to form new missional communities, house churches, organic churches etc. But are these people experiencing things such as depression, anxiety etc? In my talks with others here in Melbourne, that seems to be the case, but I want to see if that is he case of the larger church community.

There were a total of 50 responses to the survey.

Question 1 — Sex?
Question 1
Question 2 — What area are you from?
Question 2
Question 3 — What denomination do most identify with, or have left?
Question 3
Question 4 — Would you say that you have left the traditional church?
Question 4
Question 5 — Would you say that you have joined or begun a missional community, organic church, simple church, etc?
Question 5
Question 6 — If you have left the mainstream church, and have not started or have started a new faith community, would you identify that you have ever felt…?
Question 6
Question 7 — If you answered Q6 with an issue, are you seeking help?
Question 7
Question 8 — Last question! If you are having issues as described in Q6 — how long have you been experiencing them?
Question 8

Should anyone be interested in helping compile the data some more, please ket me know.

At the next Learning from the Locals I plan on asking participants to answer the survey and add to the data.

Love to hear your comments!
