10 Survival Tips for Faith Communities

by Neal on May 10, 2009

The Naked Pastor has a list that he has compiled over time of the top 10 survival tips for Faith Communities. There is a lot to unpack in the brief 10 points but this looks like a good start.

The bottom five on the list of ten are;

  1. abandon visionary thinking (love without the oppression of expectations);
  2. cultivate thinkers who explore the reconciliation of all things (global intelligence);
  3. commit to long-term or even life-long oversight (relationship);
  4. build an attitude of resistance to success-story thinking (anti-pop);
  5. engage all sciences, religions and philosophies with an open, compassionate and humble mind (dialogue).

And that’s just the beginning. There is quite a discussion in the comments on the site, some quite critical and some that only build on the list by David Hayward, the Naked Pastor.
